The easiest thing you can do is to use carbohydrates sparingly. Carbs turn to sugarwhen it is absorbed in the blood stream. Even fruits and vegetables contain a certain amount pf natural sugar. The only known foods that do not contain any sugar are meats. But that doesn’t mean you should live on a meat diet. That could lead to heart desease and high colesterol. Here is a sample meal plan for you to follow:
Breakfast:
1 toast
cereal
egg
grits
Lunch
Tuna sandwhich
Half banana
juice or water
Snack
1 apple
or
half a sandwhich
Supper
half cup carrots
small baked potato
1 cup green beans
2 chicken legs
The American Diabetes Association recommends the "food pyramid". Starches as a basic but not too much, they look at this as number of calories. After starches comes meats(protein) then fruits and vegetables, last is fats. It’s just a good diet for anyone.
