Diabetes Go

My friend thinks that she may have diabetes but wont tell her doctor. Can her doctor tell from regular tests?

My friend thinks that she may have diabetes. She has some telltale symptoms such as unexplained wieght loss, fatigue, exessive thirst, and irritation. She recently went to the doctor for a regular exam but she didnt tell her doctor about these symptoms because she felt embarassed about asking for some reason. She got the usual finger prick and gave a urine sample. Could the doctor tell whether or not she has diabetes from those basic tests even though she didnt tell her the symptoms and ask about it?
