Diabetes Tests?

After not feeling well, and having some symptoms of Diabetes, one of my teachers told me that I should get tested. What are the different tests they do to find out if you have Diabetes or not, and what do you have to do for them? I would really like to know, so that if I do get tested soon I will know. Thanks.

Take precaution when you do a diabetes test. When you diagnosed, more likely the doctor will put on prescription drugs and blood testing for the rest of your life. The problem is it’s never simple.
And the truth is prescription drugs can be bad as the diabetes itself! The toxic side effects of only several of many side effect.e.g;weight gain, respiratory infections, nausea, diarrhea, liver damage, ect…!

I think Diaberlink is an effective dietary supplement formulated with valuable herb extracts to help increase production of pancreas beta cells, thereby improving the body’s ability to produce and increase insulin..

Ask your doctor for a glucose tolerance test, and an HbA1c test. Those two are the most accurate and will give him the most information.

Some doctors just do a random blood test or a fasting glucose test, but they don’t tell the whole picture.

All tests for diagnosing diabetes require having blood drawn.

The one for ketones requires a urine sample, but that test is not required for diagnosis.

To diagnose type 2 diabetes, your doctor may perform more than one type of tests before reaching a conclusion.

Typically, the first diabetes test that doctor uses, is the blood test which measures the level of glucose in the blood. In addition to that, you will probably have other diabetes tests such as fasting plasma glucose test, oral glucose tolerance test or A1C test if the doctor suspects that you have the disorder. Certain diabetes tests may need to be repeated to make sure the diagnosis is definite.

A fasting plasma glucose test measures your blood sugar level after you have fasted for at least 8 hours. This diabetes test is a fairly reliable and convenient way to diagnose type 2 diabetes. It is most reliable when done in the morning. As long as your blood sugar level is below 100 milligrams per deciliter (mg/dL), you are considered safe.

The tests are not complicated. They are blood tests. They are usually a prick in the finger. If your sugar level is high, then they may get you to drink something and take a few more tests of your blood sugar. I would encourage you to go and get tested. The sooner you get the answers, the better off you will be.

They will do a random blood glucose, and or a fasting blood glucose and or a glucose tolerance test. Along with other blood levels of things like insulin, C Peptide, insulin antibodies. But they will start with a simple blood glucose test, if that is elevated then they go on to other things. For a fasting you don’t eat for 12 hours and it’s usually in the morning. Blood glucose is blood sugar. Ketones are a bi-product of fat matabalism and they are spilt into your urin when there isn’t enough insulin to move glucose into your bloodstream, and they are dangerous!

The best thing to do is to go to the doctor. You can test your blood sugar with a glucose meter. A meter can be bought at the drug store. To use one will require pricking your finger. Your blood sugar should be between 70-130. Drinking, fasting, and certain diets such as Atkins may also affect you blood sugar. The other thing you can do (that is much cheaper!) is something called a keytone test. Keytones are sugar and protein in the urine. To test for keytone you need to go to the drugstore and buy keytone strips. You pee on the stick and then match the color of the stick to the colors on the side of the vial. Any that is not negative is BAD! You must go to the doctors or the hospital ASAP! If you are constantly thirsty this means you are most likely dehydrated. Drink smaller amounts of water with a touch of table salt. (Salt retains water). Other symptoms can be: constant tiredness, flu-like symptoms, cuts that won’t heal, gray skin, hair loss, loss/ gain in hunger, etc. You could also be diagnosed with prediabetes- hypo/hyper glycemia (low or high blood sugar) as well. The types of diabetes are: type 1, type 2, type 1 1/2 or 3, gestational and pre diabetes! Good luck!
