is cyclobenzaprine safe for him?

i was looking through my medicine cabinet for my allergy pills and i found a bottle of medication prescribed to my dad. it was something called cyclobenzaprine. i googled it this morning and found out what it was for but i was wondering if it was safe for him to take because he’s overweight, has high blood pressure and high cholesterol, and diabetes runs on his side of the family. i was also wondering if cyclobenzaprine had any side effects. thanks everybody!!!
